Lowy is often called upon to develop new frame designs or recreate period frames. Over the years, we have developed thousands of antique and contemporary frame designs for collectors, museums, art dealers, architects and interior designers. Working in studios above the gallery, our master craftsmen make these frames entirely by hand, using centuries-old tools, techniques and materials to create intricate carving, delicate sgraffito and beautifully patinated gilding. These handcrafted works of art, in styles from every historical period and country of origin, represent the broadest selection of reproduction frames available anywhere. Our skilled craftsmen also produce exceptional custom work, including copies of period frames and original designs.

Comprehensive archival fitting services complete our framing package. All procedures related to art handling, mat making, hanging art, and fitting paintings and works on paper adhere to the highest conservation standards, and are executed with the same care and uncompromising quality for which Lowy is known.
